We’re Girl Scouts. We’re 3.2 million strong—3.2 million girls and adults who believe every girl can change the world.
It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we continue her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passions, and talents.
Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida council has a membership of nearly 3,500 girls in grades K-12, and more than 1,500 adult members. GSGCF is chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA and serves girls in ten counties including: Manatee, Hardee, Highlands, Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte, Glades, Lee, Hendry, and Collier. The council is governed by a volunteer board of directors who represent the geographic, ethnic, and social demographics of the council’s jurisdiction.
At Girl Scouts, she’ll laugh, she’ll explore, and she’ll make strides—all with friends by her side. A moment when she tries something new can be the moment she discovers something amazing about herself that will carry her towards future success—one that’s all her own to share with the world.
