As we celebrate Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday on October 31, there’s no better time to honor our Founder by putting one of Girl Scouts’ most important values into action: making the world a better place.
This November, Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida is proud to partner with Children’s World and Toys for Tots for a special opportunity that brings together holiday shopping, community giving, and support for Girl Scouts.
Shop Local. Support Girl Scouts.
Visit Children’s World November 2-7 or November 9-14 and mention Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida at checkout. Children’s World store hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and closed Sunday. Address: 4525 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34233.
And don’t let the name Children’s World fool you. Your purchase doesn’t have to be a children’s gift or a Toys for Tots donation to support Girl Scouts. Whether you’re shopping for yourself, checking off gifts for family and friends, or picking up something special to donate, a portion of eligible purchases will benefit Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida.
It’s a simple way to make your holiday shopping go a little further while supporting a local business that supports Girl Scouts. Complimentary gift wrapping is available, too!
Make the Holidays Brighter for a Local Child
While you’re shopping, you can make an even bigger impact by purchasing a new toy to donate to Toys for Tots or by making a monetary donation.
Children’s World will provide an additional contribution equal to 50% of each qualifying purchase or monetary donation benefiting Toys for Tots, helping your generosity go even further and bringing more holiday joy to children in our community.
And there’s something special for Girl Scouts who get involved. Girl Scouts who purchase and donate a gift from Children’s World to Toys for Tots will earn a special patch, recognizing their commitment to service and giving back.
Families can make it even more meaningful by inviting their Girl Scout to help select the toy. It’s a simple opportunity to talk about generosity, think about another child’s interests, and experience firsthand how one thoughtful act can make a difference.
Carrying Juliette’s Legacy Forward
Juliette Gordon Low founded Girl Scouts with a vision of helping girls develop the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. More than a century later, that spirit of service continues every time a Girl Scout, family, volunteer, donor, or community partner chooses to give back.
This holiday season, we invite our Girl Scout family to join us. Shop local. Support Girl Scouts. Give a child a reason to smile. And help us carry Juliette Gordon Low’s legacy of service forward.
Shop November 2-7 and November 9-14 at Children’s World and remember to mention Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida at checkout.
Celebrate our Founder. Give with purpose. Spread holiday joy. 💚
